Abstract

DNA origami (DNAo) is a technology that used a free design to uniquely create nanoscale structure. Recently, many possible DNAo with various functions is made. In this study, we proposed an idea by conducting a mechanism to turn ON/OFF fluorescence through strand displacement reaction on a DNA plate. We designed a DNA plate that has fluorescently modified probe strands in the reaction zone. This combination makes it possible to react with molecules at specific positions. The probe in this system can be expected to be reused as it uses a strand displacement reaction. There isa wide variety of applications for this system, and by placing three colors of fluorescent molecules on the same plate, an image elementis formed. This system also can be used in cells because it made of DNAo. Therefore, we can create a kit that fluoresces a specific color by binding to a specific DNA.
